Kumuduni Samarakoon
CEO & Director

Mrs. Kumuduni Samarakoon is an NVQ Level 6 qualified cosmetologist and a TVEC licensed assessor in beautician, hairdressing, bridal dressing, tailoring, master tailoring, and gents' tailoring. Her distinguished career includes serving as a beauty instructor at the National Youth Services Council (NYSC) and the Vocational Training Authority of Sri Lanka (VTA), as well as a Testing and Evaluation Officer at VTA, North Central Province. She is also an NVQ Level 4 qualified massage therapist and aromatherapist, and holds NVQ Level 5 qualifications in teacher training. As a resource person at the Industrial Development Board, she brings exceptional knowledge, experience, and leadership to the institute.

Lecturer

Nethmi Sooriyaarachchi is an NVQ Level 5 qualified cosmetologist, Ayurvedic beauty therapist, makeup artist, and nail technician. She also holds a BSc in Psychology and Counselling (UK), bringing together professional beauty expertise with a strong foundation in personal care and client wellbeing.

NVQ Level 4 is a TVEC-approved government qualification recognised worldwide. It certifies your professional beauty skills at an internationally accepted standard. Reg. No. P10/0084.

How long are the courses? +

Hairdresser, Beautician and Barbering courses are 4 months. Bridal Dresser and Tailoring are 6 months. Weekday and weekend batches available.

When is the next intake? +

Intakes are in January and July each year. Seats are limited — we strongly recommend registering early.

What are the entry requirements? +

Minimum O/L qualification required. Students must be 17 or above. No prior beauty experience needed.
